Ms. Browne is a native of Peru, and has taught Math and Spanish at The Newport School since 2001. Out of the nine children in Janet's family, seven are schoolteachers and/or administrators. Janet's family owns two private schools in Lima founded by her mother and father who were also teachers. Reino de los Cielos has received several government awards and honors for educational excellence. Janet served as both a teacher and later as Headmaster of this school. Janet received her Bachelors in Education from Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University and is working towards a Masters degree in Education Management. Janet has extensive teaching experience at the nursery, elementary, and middle school levels. Teaching for Janet is as much a way of life and a labor of love as it is a career.
