Frank Gill, Social Studies (Gr.9-12)

Mr. Gill graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Political Science. That was followed with an M.A. in American Diplomatic History and a Maryland Secondary Teachers certification. Mr. Gill spent one school year as a substitute teacher in the Prince George's County school system and then spent two years teaching in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands before coming to Town and Country Day School (now The Newport School) in 1976. Both his children are alumnae. He has been Upper School Head and Assistant Headmaster during his long history with Newport. His knowledge of Newport's philosophy and traditions are invaluable. Mr. Gill has currently resigned his administrative duties, but he continues to teach three courses in the social sciences in our Upper School.
