Beverly Mill, Librarian
Ms. Mill has volunteered and worked as the school librarian for nine years at the Newport School. She was the middle-prep school librarian and taught creative writing, newsletter and kid business at the Newport Summer School Program. Also, Ms. Mill has organized school events such as a Sunday Afternoon with Nikki Giovanni, Sunday Brunch and Jazz, and Read Me a Jam Session.
Today, Ms. Mill is the part-time Assistant Librarian. She is a part-time substitute teacher for Montgomery County Schools. Ms. Mill is the Program Director of the African-American Children’s Reading Book Club. She is the Poetry Slam Coordinator for the Newport Poetry Slammers.
Ms. Mill has a BA in Education and Literature from City College, City University of New York and has completed graduated course work in Student Personnel and College Administration at Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York City.
